Rangers boss Philippe Clement has opened up on the role Graeme Souness played in him becoming manager.
The Belgian recently signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club and is looking forward to fighting on both the domestic and European front.
And while the 49-year says he had "concrete offers" elsewhere, Rangers were the only club for him after speaking to Souness and the Ibrox board.
He told Sky Sports: "It's true Graeme (Souness) was there in the first talks to go in-depth about football, the details of the team and the fans.
"What people expect, later on there were several other people involved. I gathered enough information to make a good decision.
"For sure, several concrete options were financially better but that is not what is important for me.
"I want a really quick project and to build something together with the people of the club."

Clement previously won three consecutive titles in Belgium, one with Genk in 2018/19, followed by two with Club Brugge in 2019/20 and 2020/21, respectively.
And he explained that while his methods can sometimes take time, the end result is always worthwhile.

"I think if you make big changes directly, then you make people more nervous than they are already," he continued.
"You need to do it step by step. If I want to implement all my philosophies of football in five days, then it is impossible.
"Not here and also not in the other clubs before but in the end, it was always the result of a strong team scoring a lot of goals and playing attractive, dominant football, the things people want to see here."
Rangers currently sit second in the Scottish Premiership, seven points behind rivals Celtic, but the former Monaco boss believes the Ibrox side just need to focus on themselves in the short term.
"It is now important that we focus on ourselves and that we focus on what we must do better and play better football and get the fans behind the team," he added.
"We want to have a better dynamic and not look far ahead at what is going to happen in six months.
“It is about now, next week, next month and week by week, we are building the story.
“There will be some bumps along the way but then we need to stay confident."
