Tottenham’s Premier League title odds have been slashed from 50/1 to 10/1 since the season has begun.
New manager Ange Postecoglu has had a flying start, setting a new record for the most points accumulated through their first nine games as a Premier League manager.
His Spurs team currently sit top of the table with seven wins and two draws and have seen their odds slashed to win the title.
Entering the season, bookmakers had Spurs’ for a title win valued around 50/1 and following their impressive start have cut their price to 10/1.
They are now fourth-favourites in the betting to win the Premier League this season, behind Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
Tottenham’s odds have also been slashed to finish inside the Premier League top four this season.
Pre-season bookmakers’ had given Spurs a 20% chance with odds of 4/1 and now they sit as 1/1 fourth favourites in the market.
They have leapfrogged the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea, and Manchester United with the bookies.
Oddschecker’s Leon Blackman said: “Since August 1st, Spurs have been extremely popular with Premier League bettors on oddschecker. They’ve taken the most bets for the Premier League title (17.8% of total bets) and the Top Four Finish (19.9% of total bets) betting markets.
"As well as the team being backed, their players have been popular bets for the individual awards. Maddison is currently 25/1 for the Player of the Year Award, and Son has been backed for the Golden Boot at 12/1 following his seven goals in nine games.”
