Conor McGregor has revealed that he's hoping to visit Celtic Park one day in the future.

The UFC star has taken to social media to praise a fan display made by the Green Brigade from several years ago as part of an online Q&A.

McGregor is a renowned Celtic fan and has not been shy in letting people know about it.

He struck up a good relationship with Kieran Tierney during the left-back's time under Brendan Rodgers during his initial tenure.

And his fellow Celtic supporters have been big fans of the MMA fighter too.

In a banner displayed by the Green Brigade ahead of Celtic's 5-0 win over Astana in Champions League qualifying, McGregor was quoted.

The slogan of his, which he used after his win over Diego Brandao back in 2014, read: "We're not here to take part, we're here to take over!"

He said previously of the banner: "Celtic Football Club STAND UP!!! This is what die hard support from your fans looks like! What a sight! What a team! Thank you all!"

Now, responding to a fan on X, the 35-year-old addressed the famous banner once again and revealed his intentions to take in a game at Parkhead.

An account asked: "Any plans to visit Celtic Park in the future? I'm sure you’d get a hero's reception from all your brothers from across the pond. I'm sure Kieran Tierney would be happy with that."

And the Notorious replied: "This is incredible! Hopefully one day for sure!"

Meanwhile, Gustaf Lagerbielke almost signed for a "half-assed team in Belgium" before joining Celtic.

That is according to Elfsborg managing director Stefan Andreasson who claims the 23-year-old might have missed out on a move to Parkhead.

Lagerbielke joined the Scottish champions for £3million during the summer transfer window and thrown into the starting XI due to an injury crisis centre-back in August.

However, he has recently struggled to maintain a regular starting position in the team since the return of Cameron Carter-Vickers.
