Neil Lennon's son Gallagher made his professional debut at the weekend, turning out for Lowland League side Linlithgow Rose against Gretna.

The 17-year-old is on loan from St Mirren and came off the bench during the 5-0 victory.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, he said: " I thought from the first whistle we were outstanding. All the boys played with a very high intensity.

“The tempo was good, we passed the ball well and it was good to score a load of goals and keep the clean sheet as well.”

He added: "I'm loving it to be fair, it's really good club. I love the stadium and the boys around it as well.

"Herdy and John, they've all been top with me, made me feel welcome. It's been brilliant, really good."

Lennon was previously on the books of Partick Thistle and earned a deal with St Mirren last summer after a successful trial.

He has also been capped by Northern Ireland at under-19 level.
