Fabio Silva is reportedly set to join Rangers on loan.

The Wolves striker had been linked with both Celtic and Rangers.

However, it has now been revealed Ibrox is set to be Silva's destination for the second half of the season.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has reported that a deal is in place between Rangers and Wolves for a loan deal lasting until June.

It's claimed the contract will be signed soon with formal confirmation of the move to follow.

But there will be no option to buy included in the deal.

On X, formerly Twitter, Romano posted: "Fábio Silva to Rangers, here we go!

"Deal in place between Scottish club and Wolves — agreement reached on loan until June.

"Portuguese striker will sign the contract soon.

"Clement and Koppen, crucial to make it happen.

"There will be NO buy option clause included."

Silva - who signed for Wolves for £35million in 2020 - has previously spent time on loan with Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven.

And Romano reports both Philippe Clement and director of football Nils Koppen were key to complete the loan deal.

Koppen was previously employed at PSV Eindhoven when Silva was signed for the Eredivisie club.
