Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has been the subject of a 'late enquiry' in the transfer window, it has been reported.
The American international is currently out injured after tweaking his hamstring in a 3-0 win at Dundee on Boxing Day.
His season has been heavily disrupted by injuries, with Brendan Rodgers not able to call upon the powerful centre-back as much as he would like.
The 26-year-old joined the Hoops from Tottenham on an initial love before the deal was made permanent in 2022, when he signed a four-year contract.
Today though, amid this news, he has committed his long-term future to Celtic by agreeing to a new five-and-a-half-year deal. He will remain at the club until 2029.
He's been a standout since joining and is widely regarded as the best centre-back in Scotland.
However, that has earned him potential suitors elsewhere in the market.
And USA media outlet SBIsoccer states that an unnamed club from Qatar has been in contact with Celtic over his services. Larry Henry Jr says it was a late enquiry.
Meanwhile, Adam Montgomery has suffered a nightmare hamstring injury just days after signing on loan for Motherwell.

The Celtic youngster spent the first half of the season with Fleetwood in England's League One, but he was recalled this January and subsequently loaned out to the Steelmen.
Montgomery started and assisted a goal as Motherwell defeated Alloa in the Scottish Cup, but The Sun now report that he is set to be out for three months after picking up a hamstring strain in training.
The Celtic defender is now set for scans to detail the severity of the strain, but Well boss Stuart Kettlewell could now be forced to bring in further defensive recruits in the final week of the January transfer window.
