Rangers midfielder Jose Cifuentes' loan move to Cruzerio has been delayed until next week because of Brazilian red tape.
The Ecuadorian midfielder has agreed to quit Ibrox after a miserable half-season spell and return to South America with Cruziro happy to loan him with an option to buy.
He was expected to be at the club this week to kickstart his career, but it's been revealed in Brazil the 24-year-old won't now arrive until next week.
Cifuentes will now leave Glasgow on Friday and has to fly to his home in Ecuador to collect documentation for the move to go through.
Brazilian employment laws require him to complete paperwork in his homeland and it's been reported in South America he will not now be presented in Belo Horizonte until next Thursday.
The Brazilian transfer window doesn't close until March 7 and Cruzeiro have plenty of time to cut through the red tape.
And Cifuentes, who made just six league starts for Rangers, is expected to make his debut for Cruzeiro against Democrata in the Campeonato Mineiro state league next Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ally McCoist is a huge fan of Neil Warnock.
The Rangers legend believes he will do well for Aberdeen between now and the end of the season, lighting up the Scottish game in the process.

However, the former Scotland international is extremely hopeful he endures a difficult start to life at the Dons as they travel to Ibrox tonight.
Warnock will take charge of his first game in Glasgow this evening having replaced Barry Robson who was sacked last week.
Should the visitors manage a second victory at Ibrox this season they would jump into the top six with games in hand over their rivals.
