Neil Warnock has detailed his wish for Aberdeen to face Rangers in the Scottish Cup.

Referring to the Ibrox club as 'these', the 75-year-old admits he hopes his Dons side will get to test themselves against Philippe Clement's men later in the competition.

The pair have already faced off in the Viaplay Cup final this campaign, with Rangers emerging as 1-0 winners at Hampden.

The fifth round of the tournament will take place this weekend, with Bonnyrigg Rose the opponent for Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Rangers meanwhile take on Ayr United in Glasgow as Celtic legend Scott Brown returns to Ibrox for the first time as a manager.

"Absolutely," he responded when asked if he was excited for Saturday's match. "Scottish Cup. It'll not be easy, I've been in some of those cup ties, even when I was in non-league at Burton Albion, we knocked a league cup out and got Leicester City in the next round. 

"It's a great cup, that's the FA Cup and the Scottish Cup. Let's hope we can play these again, later on. 

"But you don't jump too far ahead. You've got to beat them on Saturday first."

Bojan Miovski scored his 20th goal of the season in front of a packed Ibrox last night. 

The North Macedonian netted right before half time as the Dons somehow went in level at the break after Clement's side totally dominated proceedings up until that point.

Warnock may have only had one training session with his players, and now one game, but he can already see the top qualities the forward, 24, possesses, insisting he could play in the Premier League.

He said: "I don't think anybody is better than him in Scotland. As I said to him today before the game when we were talking in the hotel, he could go in the Premier League tomorrow him. Play with anybody. But I'm glad he's here because I'm here. He'll score 30 goals this year."
