Juventus are reportedly still interested in signing Lewis Ferguson from Bologna.

The Serie A giants are looking for a replacement for Paul Pogba after the Frenchman was found guilty of taking banned substances.

Ferguson is a player Massimiliano Allegri's side have been interested in for a long time as the Scotland international has continued to impress during his time in Italy.

The former Aberdeen man has become the highest scoring Scot in Serie A and Juventus are said to keen on the player with sporting director Cristian Giuntoli having held "positive" talks with the 24-year-old's agents, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.

There have reportedly been representatives from Juventus at several Bologna matches so far this season and Ferguson has previously expressed his desire to play for a bigger club in the future.

He was previously the subject of transfer interest in the January window but Bologna were not keen to lose the player at such a crucial point in the season.

This is according to agent Bill McMurdo. He said: "Bologna told us that they would not allow Lewis to leave the club in January, they did not want to consider offers.

"And he was happy with this decision. Lewis and I are aware of the serious interest from other clubs and he will move in the future when the time is right for both him and Bologna."
