St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park has emerged as a possible option if Dundee's pitch is defeated by the weather again next week.
It will be the third attempt to get the Scottish Premiership clash between Dundee and Rangers played at Dens Park. Referee Don Robertson conducted two pitch inspections on Wednesday 10 April to try and get the tie played but the ball failed to bounce sufficiently on the surface after heavy rainfall in the area.
That left Rangers fuming and now a pitch inspection is scheduled for mid-morning on Tuesday 16 April at Dens Park to assess the conditions ahead of the proposed 8pm kick-off on Wednesday. But if that fails then plan B may be implemented, which could see Philippe Clement's side travel to Perth instead for this re-arranged encounter.
Over the past few days, Dundee chiefs have engaged in talks with various clubs, according to the Courier, but they have ultimately struck a deal with St Johnstone, who are prepared to serve as hosts for the final league match before the split, if necessary.

This upcoming game carries immense importance for the title race - with Rangers currently playing catch-up being Celtic. However, the battle for the last top-six spot has concluded, following Dundee's draw with Aberdeen on Saturday and Hibernian's inability to secure a victory against Motherwell.
