Here is how Celtic could potentially win the Premiership title against Rangers.

The post-split fixtures were unexpectedly thrust upon us today by the SPFL as they confirmed the full list of games remaining for each of the country's 12 top-flight teams.

The league split into the top and bottom six at the weekend following the series of results which saw Dundee confirmed as a top-half team.

The final five rounds of games for all of the Premiership sides have now been determined and released by the SPFL, with all eyes on the title race, race for Europe and the tussle to avoid the relegation play-off.

Focussing on proceedings at the top of the table, Celtic currently boast a four-point advantage over Rangers, albeit, Philippe Clement's side can reduce that gap back to a single point with victory at Dens Park on Wednesday night.

Looking further down the line now that we know the lay of the land in terms of the post-split games, and dealing with hypotheticals, there is a scenario where Celtic could clinch their league title in a row by beating Rangers. 

The teams will meet for the final derby encounter on Saturday, May 11, it has been confirmed by the SPFL. This game will kick-off at 12.30pm and will be showcased on Sky Sports.

For this to come to pass, Rangers would need to draw or lose one of their next three games (including Dundee), and so, it would open up the door for Celtic to win the league in the powderkeg clash.

That is, of course, if Brendan Rodgers' side wins their first two games of the top six. This would see a four-point gap opened up by Celtic heading into the Rangers fixture, meaning victory in that match would see it go to seven - and therefore it would be curtains with only two matches remaining in the season after that point.

Another way in which Celtic could beat Rangers to lift the title is if Rangers were to draw their three matches prior to the game. 

After Rangers' draw at Dens Park last night, it now means that Rangers CANNOT win the league at Celtic.

The maximum gap they could have after the opening two post-split games is just three points. 

So, even if they do beat Celtic, the gap would sit at six, with two games left to play.
