Fabio Silva offers Rangers "absolutely nothing" and the only reason he keeps getting a start by manager Philippe Clement must be due to a clause in his contract. 

That's the opinion of Ibrox hero, Derek Ferguson, who believes the forward has been "woeful" since signing for Rangers on-loan from Wolves in January. 

Silva, 21, has only managed to contribute four goals and zero assists during his 18 appearances. Yet, he's started the last nine matches, where Rangers' form has began to falter. 

Rangers failed to score against Dundee last time out, a result that could prove extremely costly to their Scottish Premiership title hopes. And Ferguson reckons Clement's persistence in playing Silva could be part of the problem.

Speaking on the latest Open Goal Podcast, the former Rangers midfielder said: "Silva offers you absolutely nothing. He must have a clause in his contract that he starts every game because on his past five, six performances he's been nothing short of woeful.

"He contributes absolutely nothing. £35million player?

"What is he? Wide man, through the middle. He does nothing. No contribution.

"It's at this time of the season. If you want to be champions you've got to have that mental strength. Under pressure? Deal with it."
