Neil Lennon and Ally McCoist have claimed Scott Brown is to blame for their heated exchange after a derby clash between Celtic and Rangers.
The pair claimed Brown's antics on the pitch fuelled their touchline spat after a match at Parkhead in 2011.
The fixture finished with a 1-0 scoreline in favour of Celtic but it was the confrontation between McCoist and Lennon which featured on back pages.
Since the fierce exchange, Lennon and McCoist have become good friends - and the former Ibrox boss revealed they enjoyed a bottle of beer right after the flashpoint.
Now, Lennon and McCoist have teamed up to point the finger at Brown for ramping up tensions as he wound up El Hadji Diouf - who was sent off after the final whistle - on the pitch.
On talkSPORT Lennon said: "Al, you're asking the wrong man because Browny was too busy noising up El-Hadj Diouf all night.
"Them two were going at it hammer and tongs as well."
And McCoist agreed, adding: "By the way, you're not wrong. It was him that started it.
"And you and I ended up with the government having an argument about us!"

It comes after McCoist had been 'set up' by Brown on a talkSPORT show earlier in the week as Jim White poked fun at the touchline tiff.
White asked Brown: "You played in many Old Firm games. What were some of the craziest moments and what was your take on the famous McCoist Lennon touchline tiff?"
McCoist then added: "Hahaha! I didn't know I was getting set up Broony! I didn't know I was getting set up!"
Wading into the incident, Brown replied: "To be fair I quite enjoyed it - you took the pressure off me for once! I can't believe the two of you didn't get a red card for that. But you kissed and made up?"
McCoist responded: "Oh aye. We had a bottle of beer right after it."
