More than 15,400 Rangers supporters have applied for tickets for the final league match of the season away at Hearts.

A Rangers SLO update revealed the huge race for tickets for the closing Scottish Premiership fixture with supporters desperately hoping for a title party in the capital.

And the demand for tickets has been revealed by the SLO who explained 15,400 fans joined the ballot for the 632 tickets available for the match at Tynecastle.

That means the ballot for tickets was oversubscribed by a huge 2,436 percent. Those fortunate enough to be selected for a match brief have been emailed by the club.

A Rangers SLO social media update read: "Emails have been sent to those who were successful in the ballot for Hearts away.

"Over 15,400 supporters applied for the club’s allocation of 632 tickets.

"The sales window is open for those successful from now until 9am on Thursday 2nd May and your ticket can only be secured within this period.

"If you require any further information, please email contact@rangers.co.uk."

Rangers supporters are hoping Philippe Clement's side could lift the title in Edinburgh on the final day but they will have to overturn a three-point deficit to Celtic.

The Ibrox side sit on 78 points with a goal difference of 50 - Celtic, meanwhile, are on 81 points with a 55 goal difference record.

However, Rangers do have one final match against Celtic - at Parkhead - remaining this season where the points total could be levelled.

Before then, Rangers host Kilmarnock this weekend in the second post-split fixture having beaten St Mirren 2-1 in the first match after the split.
