Hilarious footage of Celtic forward Daizen Maeda has surfaced from the club's Player of the Year Awards ceremony held in Glasgow's OVO Hydro yesterday evening.
During a video montage showcasing each of the squad's Players' Player of the Year award nominations, the likes of Anthony Ralston, Reo Hatate, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyogo Furuhashi and Alistair Johnston are seen waxing lyrical about eventual winner Matt O'Riley, hailing the midfielder's input over the course of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 23-year-old's football intelligence, goals and assists are cited as standout traits among his peers, before Maeda shares why he cast his own vote for O'Riley.
Captured on social media, he said: "Matt O'Riley. Because, he is really handsome"

Winner O'Riley himself voted for Hoops stopper Joe Hart, who is set to retire at the end of the season.
James Forrest, Stephen Welsh, Paulo Bernardo, Scott Bain and Adam Idah also cast their vote for the 37-year-old stopper, praising the goalkeeper's performances on the pitch, and his presence and influence off it.
O'Riley's goal and Hart's shot-stopping were instrumental in Celtic's vital 2-1 victory over Rangers at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday. To this end, here's why Celtic analytically deserved to win the Glasgow Derby.
Moreover, it was Maeda who forced Celtic's second goal of the day when the forward's cut-back was fumbled over the line by Rangers' John Lundstram.
The 26-year-old's overzealous celebrations earned him a yellow card – when he vaulted the security barrier and threw himself into the jubilant home crowd – which was something he pleaded ignorant to after the fact.
Six points now separate Celtic and Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, with Rangers playing host to Dundee at Ibrox on Tuesday, and Celtic travelling to Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
