Brendan Rodgers has revealed he won't watch Rangers' match against Dundee tonight despite the Celtic title implication attached to the Scottish Premiership fixture.

The Parkhead boss admitted he will snub the Ibrox contest to watch the Premier League match between Tottenham and Manchester City instead.

Rodgers' admission comes even though a favourable result at Ibrox could see his Celtic side crowned champions tonight. 

Rangers currently sit six points behind Celtic with two matches remaining this season meaning should Philippe Clement's side drop points then the title race will be mathematically over.

Failing that, Celtic will claim the title if they pick up one more point from their remaining two league matches.

But Rodgers has revealed he will choose to watch the crucial Premier League TV offering instead with Arsenal fans desperately hoping for rivals Tottenham to take points off Man City and swing the title in their favour.

On Sky Sports, Rodgers said: "Well, it works simply in the fact that you do your own preparation and we are prepared to have to do the job tomorrow against Kilmarnock.

"Outwith that you can't control anything else really so nothing else.

"I will watch a game tonight...I'll probably watch Tottenham against Man City to be honest.

"Other than that, our focus and control is what we can do in tomorrow's game against Kilmarnock."

Meanwhile, the Celtic boss insisted Celtic have no need to sell Matt O'Riley as he responded to transfer speculation over talks with two Premier League teams.
