The latest Celtic preseason video offers a glimpse behind the scenes at Lennoxtown.

As recorded and published by Celtic TV, the 'Inside Lennoxtown' short takes an extended behind the scenes look at the players being put through their paces in pre-season training at the club's Lennoxtown Trainining Centre.

With the picturesque Campsie hills filling the background, the footage jumps between first team coach Gavin Strachan talking the players present through each drill and the players themselves putting in the hard yards on the grass.

A large chunk of the wider Celtic squad is still to return from international duty – Alistair Johnston, for example, is still engaged with Canada who've progressed to the quarter-finals of this year's Copa America – which means the players who are active at Lennoxtown right now will be the ones who feature against Ayr United this Friday, June 5 at Somerset Park (7.45pm kick-off).

Among the players there, goalkeepers Scott Bain and Tobi Oluwayemi might share game time against Ayr United this Friday, whereas a handful of other younger players feature, including Kyle Ure, Josh Dede and the much-discussed Bosun Lawal – the latter of who returns from a season-long loan spell at English League Two side, Fleetwood Town.

Kyogo Furuhashi looks as sharp as ever, even in the limited time he appears on camera above, while Nicolas Kuhn, Maik Nawrocki and Timoki Iwata can all be seen taking to the field near the footage's beginning.

With so many players still on their travels, of course, you'd expect a line-up far from Celtic's strongest going into their first preseason game ahead of the new campaign.

Celtic's trip to Ayr United this Friday evening (7.45pm kick-off) indeed marks the club's first preseason match, before taking on Queens Park on Wednesday, June 10 at The City Stadium (formerly Lesser Hampden).

After that, Brendan Rodgers and his players travel across the Atlantic for the Celtic USA Tour 2024. There, the Hoops will play DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea. Follow the link above for everything you need to know about Celtic's preparations ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
