Ianis Hagi's agent would be willing to dig into his own pocket should Rangers deem the midfielder surplus to requirements this summer.

Hagi spent the entire 2023/24 campaign on-loan at La Liga side, Deportivo Alaves, but could only muster two goals from 26 outings in Spain.

He is still contracted with Rangers until summer 2026 which raises the question whether Philippe Clement and the Ibrox management team see the Romanian internationalist in their long-term plans.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Light Blues over four years ago,  is set to tie the knot in the coming week and his agent, Giovanni Becali, has expressed his intention to leverage this momentous occasion to orchestrate the playmaker's next career move, unless Clement makes it clear he will be given a prominent role at the Scottish Premiership giants.

"Yes, I'm going (to the wedding)," Becali told Digi Sport. "I'm going with my wife. I would be more than happy to help him find a team.

"I would spend money from me and my brother to find something for Ianis. He has an impresario who is very good to me.

"He has a contract with Rangers and I think he will start training with them. I hope that the coach will continue to consider him (as part of first team squad)."
