Ange Postecoglou was back in Scotland this week, and after watching his side rack up a 5-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle, the former Celtic manager was effusive in his praise of his old club as he looked back on his ‘special time’ living in the country.
Postecoglou was idolised by the Celtic support during his two trophy-laden seasons in Glasgow, and the feeling was more than mutual it appears, with the Australian waxing lyrical about the club’s fanbase and thanking them for the backing they have shown him.
"I loved my time here,” Postecoglou said.
“It's such an unbelievable club, Celtic, and the support I had from day one was unbelievable.
“But I enjoyed my whole time up here. My family did, I did. It was a great two years and I'll always look back on it with great fondness.
“Obviously we had success, which helps in that, but aside from that, the life we lived and the people we met, it will always be a special time in our lives.”

Postecoglou appreciates the support he is still receiving from north of the border as he looks to succeed where so many others have failed in bringing silverware to Spurs, with his experiences here helping to ready him for the demands of competing in the English Premier League.
"The press prepared me well for it, mate!” he said.
“I've enjoyed it. It's a massive club, it's an unbelievable league and it's a challenge every week.
“The best players, the managers are there and you are testing yourself every week. It's what I want to do, it's where I want to be.
“I'm enjoying it but I'm very, very focused about bringing success to it.”
