Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been snapped posing for a photo with WWE Tag Team Champion duo JD McDonagh and Finn Balor. During the exchange, the current Tottenham Hotspur manager delivered a typically humble and inspiring reply to the wrestling superstars.

As shared on social media by Balor – whose real name is Fergal Devitt – partner McDonagh asked the Australian if he wanted to hold their prized WWE Tag Team Champion belts while posing for their picture.

The former Celtic boss replied: "Nah mate, that’s yours, you gotta earn nice things!"

McDonagh and Balor are members of WWE's 'The Judgment Day' stable – alongside Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and Carliot – and have held the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship title since September of last year.

Postecoglou, on the other hand, is in the throes' of Spurs' preseason endeavours as they prepare for the start of the English Premier League campaign which kicks off a week after Scotland.

WWE stars aren't shy of Celtic connections either. Earlier this year, just days after WWE wrestler CM Punk was spotted in the Celtic Superstore and later wearing the club's Adidas training gear at the Clash at the Castle event, another high profile WWE performer, Sami Zayn, was then spotted wearing Celtic colours.

Zayn – a Wrestlemania main event wrestler, Intercontinental Champion, and self-proclaimed "Champion of the People" – was spotted wearing Celtic colours while promoting a pivot into the world of comedy, wearing a dark green Adidas Originals Celtic sweatshirt in an appearance that was popular among Celtic fans with interests on both sides.
