Bullish Dynamo Kyiv have put to rest rumours about the potential transfer of star midfielder Mykola Shaparenko as they gear up for a pivotal Champions League qualifying encounter with Rangers.

Reports from both Turkey and Ukraine indicated that Trabzonspor had made a bid for the 25-year-old, raising questions about Dynamo's willingness to sell before their crucial third-round second leg against Philippe Clement's side next week.

However, the Ukrainian club has strongly refuted any claims of an offer from Trabzonspor, stating they would only consider serious proposals from clubs in top leagues, excluding Turkish Super Lig teams.

As it stands, Shaparenko is expected to take the field against Rangers at Hampden Park next Tuesday, with both teams vying for advancement to the play-off round following a 1-1 first leg draw in Lublin. The winner will face either Austria's RB Salzburg or Dutch side Twente.

"The media are actively spreading the information that Trabzonspor allegedly made an offer to FC Dynamo Kyiv regarding the transfer of Mykola Shaparenko," a statement read.

"To put an end to these rumors, I would like to inform you that this information is in no way true. The management of the club highly values Shaparenko’s talent and skills. Dynamo will not sell players for the sake of selling.

"It is important that our players move forward, develop and glorify our country on the international stage. Therefore, Dynamo are ready to consider real offers regarding Shaparenko only from TOP leagues."
