An urgent warning has been issued to Rangers fans who are going to the Dynamo Kyiv game tonight.

Supporters will be making their way to Hampden Park this evening for the UEFA Champions League qualifying match against the Ukrainian side.

Ahead of kick-off at 7.45pm, ScotRail has warned customers that trains will be much busier than normal.

Services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida are expected to be busy and fans should expect to have to queue.

To help supporters travel to and from the match, the rail firm is adding more seats to trains to and from Mount Florida station and more staff will be on hand to help.

Fans are advised to get to Mount Florida as quickly as possible after the final whistle, particularly if the match goes to extra time and penalties.

Customers are also reminded that Mount Florida station can only be accessed from Cathkinview Road, and onto Bolton Drive via Clincart Road after the match.

ScotRail is also reminding travellers that they should plan ahead due to the temporary timetable amid an ongoing pay dispute with train drivers.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail's customer operations director, said: “We’re looking forward to helping fans travel by train to watch Rangers play Dynamo Kyiv at Hampden Park on Tuesday night.

“We’re adding more services and extra carriages to trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida to help supporters travel to and from the match, and we’ll have additional staff on hand to help.

“Our advice to customers is to leave extra time for travel as trains are likely to be busier than normal. Buying tickets in advance through our mTickets system will reduce your queuing time.

“Regular commuters who travel home from Glasgow on the line via Mount Florida should be aware that services will be much busier than normal with fans heading to the match.”
