Jota looks set to complete a cross-Saudi Arabian switch this week with a move to Al-Fateh lined up to work under Slaven Bilic.

The former Celtic winger has failed to establish himself at Al-Ittihad since his £25 million move from the Hoops last summer and made just nine league starts, although he did score four goals for the club, who finished fifth in their league.

He was even initially left out the squad for the first part of the season before getting back into the team.

Jota was handed new hope when former Bordeaux, Paris St-Germain, Lyon and France boss Laurent Blanc took charge last month.

But he's sanctioned a move for Jota either or loan or on a permanent deal.

Al-Fateh - who are based in the eastern region of Al-Ahsa - are trying to secure a deal with Jota's club so they can match his wages he's been paid at Al-Ittihad.

Croatian boss Bilic has been at the club for a year now and the former West Ham, West Brom and Watford manager is keen on the 25-year-old.

His current club want to reduce the number of foreigners they have and will allow Jota to go despite splashing out that bumper fee for him.
