Rangers-linked striker Albion Rrahmani has completed a £4.25 million transfer from Rapid Bucharest to Sparta Prague.

The Ibrox side have been linked all summer with a move for the Kosovan international who scored 18 goals in 29 matches for Neil Lennon's team.

However, a fee was never agreed and Rrahmani has agreed to move to the Czech club, with Rapid also gaining a 15 per cent sell-on clause.

Rapid stated: "Unfortunately, the story of Albion Rrahmani has come to an end here.

"He is completing his medical and won't be a part of the squad for the match against Dinamo Bucharest.

"But we know he will certainly still be supporting the team."

It's Rapid's highest fee they have ever received for a player, although it's considerably less than the £8 million they initially reportedly told Rangers they wanted for the 23-year-old, who only spent a year at Rapid after moving last year from homeland club Ballkani.
