Celtic have rejected a £10million bid from an unnamed French club, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim the Scottish giants have knocked back the offer as they don’t want to lose another one of their prized assets during the summer transfer window.
Celtic sold Matt O’Riley to Brighton on Monday for a fee that could reach £30m.
The Hoops rebuffed Zenit St Petersburg's inquiry regarding the player last month, while Leicester City did not follow through with a formal bid for Hatate.
The 26-year-old Japanese international, who is under contract until 2028, is not in a hurry to depart from Glasgow.
And it's thought Brendan Rodgers has told the club's hierarchy to issue a ‘not for sale’ tag on Hatate and he remains focused on making several additions before Friday’s transfer deadline.
So far, Adam Idah, Viljami Sinisalo, Kasper Schmeichel, Paulo Bernardo and Alex Valle have been added to the Celtic squad.
