Celtic have taken one step closer to the Women’s Champions League group stages after a dramatic extra time comeback over Finnish side KuPS.
Saoirse Noonan’s hat-trick drove the Hoops to a 3-1 victory in Lithuania on Wednesday morning, with the Glasgow club fighting back from a goal down.
Elena Sadiku’s side conceded in the 18th minute following an early strike by Roosa Ariyo, before Irish forward Noonan’s headed equaliser drew the Scottish champions level just after the hour mark.
The 25-year-old fired in two extra time goals to complete her hat-trick and book Celtic a place in the next round.
