Celtic defender Auston Trusty made his first international appearance in more than a year in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 26-year-old came off the bench for the United States in the 83rd minute against Mexico, marking the first time he has featured for the USMNT since June 2023.
Trusty made his senior debut for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in March of that year, starting in a 7-1 win over Grenada in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Wednesday’s friendly defeat to Mexico at Guadalajara’s Estadio Akron takes his tally of international caps up to three.
The game finished 2-0 to the hosts in Pochettino’s second game in charge of the USMNT, with Raul Jimenez and Cesar Huerta on the scoresheet for Mexico.
Trusty came off the bench to replace Middlesbrough’s Aiden Morris for the final ten minutes.
