Rangers came from behind to defeat Motherwell and keep their dreams of retaining the Premier Sports Cup alive.

Ex-Gers favourite Andy Halliday has given Motherwell the half-time lead, however Rangers responded with more impetus in the second half, with goals from Cyriel Dessers and Nedim Bajrami clinching their place in next month's final.

Philippe Clement's men will face Celtic on December 15.

Jack Butland

The Rangers goalkeeper looked furious at his defender's role in allowing Halliday to break the deadlock. Dealt with everything else pretty routinely.

James Tavernier

Another average showing from the Light Blues captain. Didn't get out to Seddon quick enough prior to the Motherwell man pinging the ball into Halliday's path. Clement made the bold call to withdraw his right-back with over 20 minutes of regulation time remaining.

5

John Souttar

Made a few important blocks to prevent Motherwell players from getting a shot away.

6

Leon Balogun

Timed a tackle to which stopped Sparrow getting through one on one to perfection. Won the majority of arial duels.

6

Jefte

Caught ball watching at the back post for Halliday's opener. Really poor defending by running away from his man.

5

Connor Barron

Tested the Motherwell keeper with a decent effort shortly after Rangers went a goal behind.

6

Nicolas Raskin

Guilty of being slack in possession on a few occasions.

5

Nedim Bajrami

Booked just before half-time for a late challenge on Kaleta. Came up the a crucial winning goal after making a gut-bursting run into space and powered beyond the Motherwell goalkeeper at his near post. Could it be a turning point?

7

Tom Lawrence

Forced off injured after 35 minutes, but was largely ineffective during his time on the pitch. Seems to struggle to remain away from the treatment table.

5

Vaclav Cerny

Back into the starting XI after missing the defeat at Aberdeen in midweek. Was sloppy with his crossing throughout the first half. His consistency and involvement can flatter to deceive as he, along with the entire Rangers team began the second 45 minutes with much more intent. The Czech winger did still look like the one man who could make something happen though.

7

Cyriel Dessers

Missed a huge opportunity to equalise just before the interval. It looked harder to miss and you could see the shock on the Rangers' fans faces that the ball didn't hit the back of the net. But he made amends by netting an important equaliser on 49 minutes.

SUBS

Mohamed Diomande

Gave Rangers another dimension in midfield. Perhaps unfortunate not to have started the match.

6

Danilo

Made his first appearance since August 24. Drew the defenders to allow Bajrami into space for the elusive winner.

6

Dujon Sterling

Rangers' Mr.Versatile slotted in for Tavernier.

5

Neraysho Kasanwirjo

On for Balogun with 12 minutes to go. Preferred to Propper, who didn't look pleased remaining on the bench.
