In beating RB Leipzig 3-1 at Parkhead, Celtic recorded one of their best European wins – and performances – of recent times.
Better still, one RB Leipzig goals stat makes the achievement even more impressive. Going into the game, we noted that RB Leipzig had only conceded four second half goals in 15 matches up to last night (Tuesday), which Celtic added to with Reo Hatate's second period strike.
Despite having lost all four of their Champions League league-phase games so far, Marco Rose's side sit second in the German Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich – and have only conceded five goals so far, meaning they have the best defensive record in the entire league.

For context, league-leaders Bayern have conceded eight goals, whereas Eintracht Frankfurt (third), Leverkusen (fourth) and Borussia Dortmund (fifth), have conceded 14, 15 and 15 respectively.
All of which underlines just how big Celtic's 3-1 victory over the Bundesliga side is.
Now with seven points, it's likely that Brendan Rodgers' side need just one win to qualify for the competition's play-off round, and three to finish in the automatically-qualifying top-eight.
