A Glasgow Rangers bar has unveiled a special tribute for Remembrance Week.

The Bristol Bar, which is located in the East End, has installed statues of soldiers above the entrance of the venue for Remembrance Week.

The football-themed watering hole has also been lit up red - which is the colour of the poppy.

Remembrance Day takes place in the UK on Sunday, November 11.

In the post, the bar said: "At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

"Bristol Bar Remembrance Week. Light up Red with Poppy Scotland."

Meanwhile, in another social media post, the pub revealed they will be paying their respects to the 'fallen heroes that made the ultimate sacrifice'.

The Gers boozer said they will be having a small remembrance service at the venue with veterans on Sunday, November 11, at 3.30pm.

The Bristol Bar Glasgow said: "Bristol Bar Remembrance Week.

"This week we pay our respects to our fallen heroes that made the ultimate sacrifice for us all, we will end our week remembering them on Sunday when we will be joined by many veterans and current members of the Armed Forces as we put on a complimentary day for them all.  

"We will be joined by Queen Elizabeth Accordion band who will perform a live military set and our resident Honest toon DJ will be live all day.

"We also intend having a small remembrance service in the bar with the Veterans on the day at approx 3.30pm.

"Please feel free to join us on Sunday from 1pm and come along have a chat with these amazing people, they would really appreciate that.

"We will remember them. Lest we forget."
