Victor Wanyama and Cameron Carter-Vickers were last night spotted in a warm embrace as Celtic produced an outstanding display to beat RB Leipzig.

The American defender may have been at fault for the Bundesliga side's goal in Glasgow's east end, but he was imperious for the remainder of the match, as Brendan Rodgers' side romped to a famous 3-1 win on home soil.

They are now up to seven points in the Champions League, with four matches left to play in the league phase.

Wanyama was up in Glasgow for the game, as he took in the match as a punter.

And as the players walked down the tunnel at half time, Wanyama - who played at Celtic between 2012 and 2013 - could be seen shaking hands with his old club teammate Carter-Vickers.

The pair played together at Tottenham Hotspur, with both players firmly held in high regard by the Celtic faithful.
