It would be easy to forget that Alexandro Bernabei is still on Celtic’s books.
The 24-year-old penned a five-year-contract at Celtic when signing from Argentinian club Lanus in summer 2022.
However, the full-back struggled for game time and featured sporadically under Ange Postecoglou and latterly Brendan Rodgers. He made 29 appearances with the majority coming from the substitutes bench.
Bernabei was subsequently allowed to leave on loan before the end of the 2023/24 season, joining Sport Club Internacional until January 2025.
Since that switch, the player has been a revelation and is continuing to earn rave reviews for his performances in Brazil. The most recent coming in the aftermath of a 2-0 league win over Fluminense on Friday night.

Bernabei was given a credible 8.3/10 rating by FotMob following an eye-catching display which included an assist for Bruno Henrique and maintaining a second successive clean sheet.
There's now talk that he could earn Celtic a small fortune, with respectable South American-based journalist Tim Vickery stating a colleague was even touting him for Brazil’s national team.
Writing on X, he said: “Celtic fans might be interested to know that Bernabei is proving a sensation in Brazil with Internacional.
“One journo - unaware that he is Argentine - even wanted him to be called up by Brazil.”
Bernabei is Argentinian-born but has not been considered for senior international selection yet.
