John McGinn insists stories that have 'grown arms and legs' regarding his proposed move to Celtic back in 2018 still annoy him to this day.
The midfielder was the subject of transfer interest from both the Scottish Premiership champions and Aston Villa as it became clear he'd be leaving Hibernian that summer.
Brendan Rodgers made the Scotland international a top priority, however, the Hoops were not prepared to match Villa's £3.5m offer, and so he ended up in Birmingham.
The 30-year-old remains at Villa Park six years later and has been a firm fans' favourite during that time, becoming captain of the club too.
With all of that said, the former St Mirren and Hibs star has refused to rule out a move to his boyhood heroes in the future.

He told Premier Sports Scottish Football Social Club: "The stories about that whole saga have grown arms and legs over the years and it winds me up. You never say never.
"When I was young all I ever dreamed about was playing for Celtic and didn't ever see myself playing for Aston Villa.
"But I have got two-and-a-half years left at Villa, whether that sees me off or if I've still got something left in the tank we will see. You never know."
