Connor Barron asserts that the Rangers players are completely supportive of manager Philippe Clement as they work to improve their performance and bring joy to the Ibrox fan base.

It's been a chaotic few months on and off the football pitch for Rangers, with performances falling below standards while several senior positions have been left vacant at board level. The Light Blues also had to play some of their home matches at Hampden Park due to the delayed development of the Copland Road Stand. 

That's why it's fair to say Barron's experience since arriving on a free transfer from Aberdeen in the summer has certainly been a rollercoaster. 

Up next for Rangers, who fell further behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic by failing to beat Dundee United on Saturday, is a Europa League tie against OGC Nice.

Barron knows Rangers need to make amends and ensure they deliver a result at Allianz Riviera to build on their return of seven points from four league phase matches so far.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Rangers midfielder said: "We're all on the same page, we're all a team, we're all in it together. It's down to all of us to go and pull our weight on Thursday and make sure that we get a result."

The build up to this clash has been overshadowed by speculation - which has since been rubbished by senior club sources - suggesting that Clement's position was in jeopardy. 

Asked if he had noticed any changes to his manager's approach, Barron replied: "The gaffer has been fine. He's been positive, we've been looking at things. 

"Obviously we've went over the game [vs Dundee United] but we've got to move quickly onto the next one. That's how football works. You've got to go again and pick up from where we left off but make it even better and make sure that we get the three points. 

"You obviously hear it [the negative fan reaction] but you've got to block it out at the same time. You just have to use it as fuel and make sure that you bounce back and you make them happy. That's our job. We've got to make them happy and get three points. 

"We haven't been doing that, especially at the weekend obviously, but as I say we've got a chance to go and do it this week so let's go and do it. 

"You want to walk off that pitch and they are all smiling and cheering your name. That's our job to go and do that."
